The Christmas tree plantation

There's no better way to start Christmas than a wander through our Christmas tree plantation and feel the fresh lush green needles and experience the smell of real trees. Our main plantation is a pleasant 250 metre level walk from the main site. Stroll at your leisure through our hundreds of trees to find the perfect one.

Your tree can then be tagged to pick up at a selected date nearer to Christmas or cut down in front of you and transported back to the yard ready to be taken home. You can't get fresher than that!

The Tree Barn

Step inside our larger barn and experience the wonderful fragrance of our freshly cut Christmas trees. They are all open and displayed to enable you to see the shape and height and make the perfect choice so you are not disappointed when you get home.

The barn is floodlit so choosing a tree after school or work is not a problem. Neither is bad weather as the barn provides protection from wind and rain making choosing your tree an enjoyable and memorable family experience. Once you've chosen your tree we will net it, trim the trunk, and carry it to your car.

Meet real reindeer

Experience the magic of Christmas up close! There’s nothing more enchanting at Christmas than meeting real reindeer, and here at Woolley Edge Christmas Tree Farm, we have three of Santa’s finest helpers waiting to greet you — Dancer, Prancer, and Cupid!

• Daily Visits: Our friendly reindeer are at the farm every day, eager to meet visitors of all ages.
• Santa’s Feeding Time: Join us at 10 am sharp on selected weekends to watch Santa himself feed the reindeer. It’s a delightful spectacle that adds a sprinkle of magic to your visit.
• Interactive Experience: Learn fascinating facts about reindeer from our knowledgeable staff and discover what makes them so special.
• Photo Opportunities: Capture unforgettable memories with our reindeer. They love posing for photos, so don’t forget your camera!

Take a ride on the Tree Train

Experience the magic of Christmas by hopping on our festive Tree Train. This delightful ride takes you and your family on a scenic journey through our sprawling Christmas tree plantation.

Enjoy the crisp winter air and the scent of fresh pines as you leisurely glide past rows of beautifully cultivated trees.

• Fun for All Ages: Whether you’re young or young at heart, the Tree Train is a joy for everyone.
• Weekend Rides: Available selected weekends from 10am to 3:30pm.
• Capture the Moment: Don’t forget to take photos! The train makes several stops at picturesque spots perfect for family snapshots.

After selecting your perfect Christmas tree, indulge yourself at our Season’s Eatings area. We’ve curated a selection of food and drinks to keep you warm and merry:

• Hot Drinks: Savour the taste of our signature hot chocolate, coffee, or a proper English cuppa.
• Hearty Snacks: Feeling peckish? Try our hot sausage or bacon butties.
• Local Produce: We source everything we can locally to bring you the freshest flavours.
